One of the largest, most important, and longest-running projects of our organization is visiting Ukrainian military service members in hospitals and medical facilities. This is how the “Support for the Wounded” project began in Hamburg in 2014, when the first wounded defenders from eastern Ukraine arrived here.
This initiative continues to this day. Not a single soldier has been left without our attention, because successful recovery requires not only medical care, but also psychological support, human warmth, and sincere communication.
At that time, all volunteers joined forces and devoted their time to visiting wounded soldiers. Representatives of government institutions, public figures, and well-known artists also took part in this initiative. They visited hospitals in Hamburg to support Ukrainian defenders, express their gratitude, and wish them a speedy recovery.
“Today, important and very welcome guests visited the Bundeswehr Hospital. Members of the Verkhovna Rada, professors from Taras Shevchenko University, and our famous singer, who is also a Member of Parliament, Oksana Bilozir. A huge thank you for finding the time, while travelling across Europe on business, to visit and support our wounded soldiers. One soldier. An entire delegation for just one Andrii.
Thank you for finding the time for one young man between Düsseldorf and Hamburg Airport.
Thank you, Oksana Bilozir. I had never seen Andrii sing before. A special thank you for that.”
